Today on Facebook Live we saw some of the holiday catalog stamps and paper. The paper is unbelievable. One has a pearl coating on the front and the back! It is so beautiful. I showed stamp sets and Framelits. The ribbon and accessories are so pretty. I stamped and embossed the images in copper embossing powder. This gave it a shiny raised edge. It also gives it a distinctive outline to color inside. I colored with the new water colored pencils, and Aqua Painter. I think my favorite part was when I embossed the background layer with an embossing folder. After that I rubbed an ink pad directly on the paper and gave the background a pop of color and depth. This is a great way to add texture. Once layered and accented with a bit of Woven Linen Thread, the cards were stunning.

This card was layered with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. I added Soft Seafoam ink to the embossed image. This darkens the ink significantly. It is a great look for behind the Blended Seasons flowers. Isn’t it pretty?
Here is a closeup of the watercolor pencil colored flowers. There are several ways to get the pencils to watercolor. I used the Aqua Painter to get this effect.
