Here are my swaps for OnStage. I am super excited that I am able to go to Stampin’ Up!’s 30th anniversary party. It will be over 5,000 Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and staff. It is always so much fun to see everyone. After 22 years in the business you get to know people pretty well even if you only see them once a year. I have made many great friends over the years. But, I digress. Here is my swap for the shoe-box swap that I am in. I prep and make enough supplies for 40 cards. I assemble 20 and we will make the other 20 when we are together. It is super fun and always a good time. I will show you my swaps when I get back.
Here is what my desk looked like while in the process of getting supplies ready.
I didn’t have enough of the first pattern so I used some of the dotted pattern. I picked that one because it had the same colors in it.
This card opens on the diagonal with 2 flaps. It’s really fun to make. Let me see if I can explain it.
Start by scoring your 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper at 5 1/2″ and 4 1/4″. You will have 4 equal squares. Next, cut on the diagonal. This will give you two cards that are already scored. Pretty cool. Huh? Next fold on the score lines to make the card base. If you want all of your card flaps facing the same way you will have to turn one of your cards over before you fold it. To make the designer paper layer cut a piece 5 1/4″ x 4″. Cut that piece on the diagonal as well. This should just fit on your front flaps. You will have about 1/8″ all of the way around for a frame.
Add as many layers and designs to the front of your card. In this case I cut out ovals with my scalloped and stitched Thinlits.
