Technical Challenge

Have you ever watched the Great British Bake off? I love that show. I watch it with my boys whenever we get a chance to watch TV together. In the technical challenge every baker gets a pile of ingredients and very sparse instructions. They have to make the recipe and fill in from what little instructions that they have and complete it successfully.

This post isn’t about that. I was trying to figure out the parallel between the cooking show  where you get a pile of ingredients and have to make something yummy. This is the stamping version. I had a full shoe box of stamp supplies from my card buffet. They were all cards from the holiday catalog. I knew I didn’t want to waste the card stock and supplies and I really didn’t need any more Christmas cards.

I took all of the bits and pieces of each card packet and tried to incorporate them into a new card with new stamp sets and supplies. This is what I came up with. I have to say that I am pretty stinkin’ proud of what I came up with.

I am not telling you this to boast. I wanted you to see what is possible when new stamp sets and supplies come along. You can take your tried and true layouts, supplies and paper and come up with amazing things.
