This last week was the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. While I didn’t have time to go to the Fiesta this week, I did have a few great adventures that did get me very close to the balloons. I can’t imagine not having this in my life every year.
Just another Monday in Albuquerque
This is the balloon that landed right in front of me. It landed near an elementary school bus stop. The kids were thrilled. I pulled over to take this photo but couldn’t stay very long for fear of blocking the turn lane into these apartments.
Arizona is where I grew up. I LOVE the Arizona state flag. Every time I drive to Phoenix to see my family I have to get a photo of the “Welcome” sign on the highway into Arizona. It has a big state flag on it. I swear I must have a bunch of these photos. They all look the same but I feel the need to take a new one every time.
Finding this balloon last Monday made me happy. It was really beautiful.
Balloons around the fiesta
Here are a few photos that my son took while he was here. This just plain and simple doesn’t get old. It’s a new adventure every time I see a balloon in the sky.
You should really consider coming the the fiesta very soon. This should really be on everyone’s bucket list. You won’t be sorry.
