Here is my latest sewing project. I had some Downton Abby fabric left over from some Christmas gifts. I really wanted to make myself a tote bag and some pouches.
The tote bag is lines with the pink fabric. It measures about 11″ x 16″. It was fun to make up my own pattern and make up what I wanted it to look like.
I made the rosette out of a scrap of fabric about 24″ x 5″. Fold it in half long ways and press really well. I jut hand gathered and secured into a spiral as I went. It was super easy. I added a shank vintage looking button to cover up the stitches in the middle.
I made small pouches to match. They are lined with matching fabric. I am super lazy and don’t even switch my machine to a zipper foot. I just use a regular foot. That way if you have a cute contrasting zipper, more of it will show.
What are your hobbies other than stamping? What have you done creative lately? I can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to!
