The new Stampin’ Up! 12″ x 12″ Rainbow Glimmer Paper is an amazing new product! It is 2 big sheets of paper with a rainbow shine.
I cut the glimmer paper across the rainbow spectrum into strips of 7/8″ long. Then I cut it into 4″ pieces. To offset the effect of the rainbow I cut a small piece of 2 of them and added it to the other end. This way the rainbow effect didn’t land it the same exact same place any time.
To get this effect I glued the strips onto a piece of card stock 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″. Layer this on card stock and a card base.
I hope you can see the shiny! It’s way prettier in person. You just have to buy it and see for yourself.
I wanted to make a new saying for this card. Here’s how I did it.
I just inked up the words that I wanted using a black ink pad. I didn’t ink up the words I didn’t want. Stamp the words onto a scrap paper. I think the ink spots would be a great way to get this done.
Add the “you” to the end of that. I really wanted it to say “Life is better with you”. Cool trick?
I have another blog post with rainbow cards. You can find it HERE
These are my boys! I have to brag just a little. The tall guy is Kristopher. (He’s mine) The good looking one is Marcus. (He’s mine too. Well, he’s my son in law) They are the best boys ever. I love them to pieces! The link above is to their shop. They own a t-shirt and merchandise company. They support LGBTQ and mental health projects. Take a look at some of their great work.
